Zdravo drug or Hello friend
I was so many times in Montenegro but only now after a lot of questions from my friends like was it cool there, interesting, beautiful and etc, I decided to write this article. So, my dear this will be a good dive in this mysterious land of black mountains dedicated to Budva town for today.
After landing at the international airport in Tivat you can go to the most popular resort at Adriatic shore - Budva town called Budvanska Rivijera. It is located only 20km far from the airport and there you can find everything for unforgetable vacations: delicious food, night life, diving, various beaches, music festivals, rock concerts, casinos, old city and amazing "black" mountins.
If you want to reach Budva at the airport you can take a taxi 20Eur (ride takes circa 25 minutes) or to take a bus 2 Eur (50 minutes). Bus Tivat-Budva rides every 30 minutes in a day time (6am-11pm) and to find a station you need to walk 100m to the left along a road (Jadranska magistrala) and then just to wait it.
The most interesting hotel in Budva for me is Dukley because I remember times when it was just a ravaged area, but today it looks remarkable.
Beaches
As I mentioned above near Budva is big diversity of the beaches and top-4 of them are: 1) Ploche 2) Sveti Stefan 3) Sveti Nicola island and last but not the worse 4) Jaz. They are all in 10-15 minutes from Budva and you can take a taxi 15Eur (or 10Eur for beautiful eyes) or bus 1,5Eur to go there and, of course, sun loungers cost additional money above 5Eur for a complect.
Sveti Stefan beach is pictured on every post card from Montenegro and I am not an exclusion (you can see it's picture on the heading). Sun loungers at Sveti Stefan beach cost 70Eur for two, because they are in a hotel's property and into this price are included bottles of water, towels and especially privacy. But at the left side of the bridge there is free beach which is open for everyone with the same turquoise water and fantastic view. Also near you are able to ramble in a grove.
To go to Sveti Nicola island you need to find a pier at Slovenska beach, and then for 5Eur to both sides a fery will bring you to so called "Hawaii". On the island you can jump over cliffs and snorkle watching for sea stars and urchins (stay away from urchins).
Meal
Near each beach are a lot of caffes, shops and restaurants where you can order pizza, fish, beverages and everything will be deliciously tasty. Take into a point that portions are very big and always are conbined with popato-fri.
If you are starving the best way will be go to so called Mesjara Amarilis and to order "pleskavica" in burger or chevapchichi out. It is best fulfilled local meat very moist and it costs only about 1,9Eur, you'll love it. Amarilis is located at the main town street Jadranski Put, which is almost opposite the Kangaroo Hotel (Please see #1 stressed at the Google map below).
And, of course, you can buy fruit, beverages and other staff at Megamarket and at the shopping center near #2 on the map ⬆.
Old town
Beautiful Stari Grad - an old town which you should definetly visit for several times (#3 on the map). It's beautiful, as in the day, as at the night. There you can move up for free to the view point to regard all the Rivijera. Inside a fortress there are museums, bars, hotels and restaurants, shops and churches, old monuments and cats 😻
Then visit so populat Mozart caffe near the fortress and take a signature dish Mozart ice-cream (Mozart caffe is #4), or try seafood there called a la italian "Frutti di mare" or "Schopski salad" in Pivnica (#5). In the evening near the old town fortress live music is played, street artists show their art and beautiful yahts softly waggle on waves near.
In Budva suburbs recently was build Aqua park near Top Hill which I would like to visit at my next trip to Budva. If you want to explore other suburbs I advise you to rent a car and also recommend you the following firm SITNGO (My friends work there so services will be on a high level!)
Budva is the colourfull town surrounded by mountains and blue-blue Adriatic sea where all generations will be pleased to relax.
Please leave comments and share with you friends.
See you there, ciao

Night life in Budva starts after the sunsets and lasts till 11pm on open air and after eleven it is shifted to close clubs. Young generation here from Russia, Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia and Italy do their best to look fabulous in the evenings and they don't hesitate to spend a lot of money every night.
Price to enter to the clubs starts from 5Eur but not all of them worth this money. Some clubs like Trocabero (#6) switch on authentic music and concerts of local and Serbian groups as Aca Lukas, Aco Pejovic & etc., and if you don't want to sing all evening words "Nema te nema" then better go to Sparta (#7) - is the club where different club music types for all taste is played.
Also don't forget about the biggest concert hall at open air "Top Hill" situated on the top of the hill where you can go by taxi for 5Eur. Top Hill is visited by world wide DJs, misicians and artists, so check it's schedule and go on to dance. Prices are from 7Eur.
